The House will remain in recess until at least April 20, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced Monday in a statement that aligns the schedule with the U.S. Senate, which has adjourned for weeks due to the threat of the coronavirus.

The announcement comes one day after President Trump extended federal social distancing guidelines until the end of April. Congress could stick to that schedule, too.
