Twitter users on Wednesday proposed several new slogans for the Democratic Party after its new “Better Deal” campaign was widely mocked by Republicans and cable TV hosts.
House Speaker Paul Ryan’s office panned congressional Democrats for taking seven months after the last election cycle to unveil a slogan that sounded similar to the GOP’s “Better Way,” introduced in June 2016.
In response, “Daily Show” writer and producer Matt Negrin elicited help on Twitter by having people submit the last text message they sent on their phone as a possible slogan.
