CompuDyne Corp. sees first-quarter earnings drop

CompuDyne Corp., an Annapolis-based security products company, reported a decrease in net income of $2.2 million for the first quarter of 2007, compared with the same time a year ago.

For the first quarter of 2006, CompuDyne cited a total net revenue of $13.4 million, more than this year?s mark of $11.2 million. The company also reported a per-tax loss of $1.3 million for the first quarter of this year, compared with $100,000 last year.

As of Monday, shares of CompuDyne were trading at $5.45, up 11 cents.
