President Trump shared rare insight into how his son Barron is dealing with coronavirus social distancing guidelines, which have people stuck at home all across the country.
A reporter brought up how the president tweeted “hang in there” to young people missing out on sports leagues and asked the president to share how his teenage son is dealing with the situation during Saturday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing.
“He’s a good athlete, and he loves soccer, and he’s like everyone else. I mean, everything’s shut down,” Trump said. “He’s in his room. He’s happy, but he’s not as happy as he could be. He’d like to be playing sports.”

Barron Trump recently turned 14 years old, which prompted a “Happy Birthday” message from his mother Melania on Twitter.
“Happy Birthday BWT,” the first lady tweeted earlier this month.

The president also said Saturday he would like the country to get back to normal “soon.” Social distancing guidelines from the White House are in place until at least April 30.
More than 7,800 people in the United States have died from the coronavirus out of more than 290,000 confirmed cases.
