The son of D.C. Employment Services Director Rochelle Webb resigned from his $65,000-a-year job with the fire department’s public affairs office Friday, making him the third child of a top Gray administration official to resign this week.
The sons of chief of staff Gerri Mason Hall and communication director Linda Wharton-Boyd resigned earlier in the week. Brandon Webb resigned Friday, officials confirmed.
The resignations come as Mayor Vince Gray has repeatedly been asked why the children of top administration officials were landing city jobs. The first two months of Gray’s administration have been marred by scandal and the resignations may be part of plan by the mayor to put the scandals behind him.
