Teen arrested in Randallstown murder

A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in Randallstown Thursday night – and Baltimore County police quickly arrested a 19-year-old in West Baltimore, charging him with the murder.

Reginald Smith, 22, of Randallstown, was found at 7:10 p.m. on Cinnamon Circle suffering from stab wounds, authorities said. He was lying in the roadway bleeding from his head and neck.

Smith was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:04 p.m.

Detectives learned that Smith and a female companion were sitting near the playground behind homes on Cinnamon Circle when a suspect approached them and began fighting with Smith.

During that fight, Smith was stabbed and the suspect fled the scene, police said.

Police tracked down the suspect, who is identified as a 19-year-old male, in the 200 block of North Carey Street in West Baltimore. Formal charges and a bail hearing are pending, police said.
