Samantha Vinograd, a CNN national security analyst and former Obama official, suggested Monday that dictators are for President Trump’s reelection.
Vinograd was reacting to Trump’s criticism of Joe Biden over the weekend. Trump tweeted on Saturday that he smiled when North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un said that Biden is “a low IQ individual.” Trump then further criticized Biden while in Japan.
North Korea fired off some small weapons, which disturbed some of my people, and others, but not me. I have confidence that Chairman Kim will keep his promise to me, & also smiled when he called Swampman Joe Biden a low IQ individual, & worse. Perhaps that’s sending me a signal?

Vinograd, who worked on Obama’s National Security Council, said she believes Biden is too busy on the presidential campaign to respond to Trump’s tweet and does not need to respond.
“But how many despots are on the Trump 2020 reelect campaign at this point?” she asked. “You have Kim Jong Un criticizing President Trump’s political rivals. You have Vladimir Putin criticizing Democrats … and it’s all pretty clear why they’re doing it.”
Vinograd said that dictators want Trump to be reelected because “he’s been pretty good for them.”
“I think that Kim Jong Un wants to ride the Trump train all the way through 2020 because it is so good for Kim Jong Un to have Trump in the Oval Office,” she said.
