COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — Charges have been dismissed against a Caledonia man accused of making alcohol available minors during a party at his home.
Steve Wallace had been charged with sale of beer without a permit, possession of alcoholic beverages with intent to sell without a permit and 10 counts of violation of the social host law.
Charges were dismissed Tuesday in Lowndes County Justice Court.
Steve Wallace testified that while he knew of the party, he did not know there would be alcohol. Wallace denied any wrongdoing.
Justice Court Judge Dorothy Stewart dismissed the charges.
The charges stemmed from an April 1 incident where Wallace’s son, 18-year-old Steven Colton “Colt” Wallace threw an after-prom party where alcohol was sold and served to minors.
