‘I don’t know’: Biden appears to lose train of thought while reading notes

Former Vice President Joe Biden struggled to read from his notes during a coronavirus roundtable and appeared to lose his train of thought.

“You know the rapidly rising, umm, uh, in with, uh, with I, uh, don’t know,” Joe Biden said in a clip that went viral and was commented on by Trump surrogates.

Biden was speaking at a roundtable organized to discuss safety measures and procedures related to opening the United States back up for business after coronavirus closures.

“‘I don’t know’: Joe Biden gets lost reading his own notes,” an official Republican National Committee account tweeted.

“Biden 2020: ‘I don’t know,’” Trump legal adviser Jenna Ellis responded.

Biden was also criticized during the roundtable for botching a Democratic talking point about President Trump’s decision to hold his next rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and claiming that the death of George Floyd is more impactful than the death of Martin Luther King Jr.
