A conservative group in Michigan will hold a “Let’s Go Brandon” rally on Saturday headlined by retired professional driver “Ricky Bobby.”
The Michigan Conservative Coalition scheduled the Let’s Go Brandon Fall Festival for Nov. 20 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and asked those who wish to come to “bring American flags, handmade signs (always in good taste) or just attend to make their voice heard.”
“Polling shows the vast majority of Americans understand that their country is going in the wrong direction,” said Rosanne Ponkowski, president of the Michigan Conservative Coalition. “The Let’s Go Brandon phrase has become a popular way to politely communicate that Americans are fed up with Washington, D.C.”

“Let’s go Brandon” refers to a slogan stemming from a NASCAR race in which a journalist misreported the chant “F*** Joe Biden” as praise toward winning driver Brandon Brown.
The event will proceed regardless of weather conditions, according to a press release from the Michigan Conservative Coalition.
Among the attendees will be Rick Treadway, a former professional IndyCar driver who uses the nickname “Ricky Bobby.”

Treadway’s nickname is a reference to the 2006 film Talladega Nights in which actor Will Ferrell played fictional all-American NASCAR champion Ricky Bobby.
