Chuck Schumer: ‘Corker was being kind’ with his Trump criticism

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Tuesday that Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., went soft on President Trump with his early morning complaint about Trump, who Schumer said tells “untruths” all the time.

“Corker was being kind,” Schumer told reporters before rattling off the untruths, specifically on the Republican push for tax reform.

“Untruth after untruth after untruth,” Schumer said. “President Trump ought to stop tweeting and start leading,” Schumer said, adding that the president’s tenure in office has been a “total flop,” largely due to his tweets and attacks.
