A mastiff/pit bull cross that crushed a Pomeranian in its massive jaws Saturday morning remained at-large Tuesday, Montgomery County police said.
The mastiff, the identity of which is unknown, was chasing a small black dog about the size of a dachshund along the 25000 block of Tralee Court when it crossed paths with a woman walking two Pomeranians.
The black dog escaped, but the mastiff/pit bull killed one Pomeranian and injured the other. As the woman tried to separate the dogs, she also was bitten, but was unsure which dog punctured her skin. Anyone with information should call 240-773-5925.
