Oakton man killed in motorcycle crash

<br/><small><a href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Chain+Bridge+Road+and+White+Granite+Drive,+Oakton,+VA&amp;hl=en&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=37.546691,80.947266&amp;vpsrc=6&amp;hnear=Chain+Bridge+Rd+%26+White+Granite+Dr,+Oakton,+Fairfax,+Virginia&amp;t=m&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=&amp;ll=38.875465,-77.307444&amp;spn=0.013364,0.01708&amp;z=14&amp;iwloc=A&amp;source=embed” style=”color:#0000FF;text-align:left”>View Larger Map</a></small></div> <p>A 32-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in Oakton.</p> <p>Fairfax County police on Wednesday identified the man as Darren Morrell, of Oakton.</p> <p>Police said the crash happened at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, when Morrell struck a 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix that exited a parking lot and turned in front of him near <a href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Chain+Bridge+Road+and+White+Granite+Drive,+Oakton,+VA&amp;hl=en&amp;ll=38.875131,-77.307444&amp;spn=0.018042,0.039525&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=37.546691,80.947266&amp;vpsrc=6&amp;hnear=Chain+Bridge+Rd+%26+White+Granite+Dr,+Oakton,+Fairfax,+Virginia&amp;t=m&amp;z=15″>Chain Bridge Road and White Granite Drive</a>.</p> <p>Morrell was thrown from his 2005 Honda CBR. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.</p> <p>The Pontiac’s driver, an 85-year-old man, was not injured.</p> <p>Police said no charges have been filed, but the crash is still under investigation.</p>
