2020 candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. says she believes Lucy Flores, the woman who this week accused former Vice President Joe Biden of inappropriately kissing her at a campaign event back in 2014
“I believe Lucy Flores,” said Warren in a press conference Saturday. “And Joe Biden needs to give an answer.”

In an opinion piece that appeared in The Cut on Friday, Flores accused Biden of smelling her hair and kissing her on the back of the neck without her permission in 2014 when she was campaigning to become the lieutenant governor of Nevada.
Biden put out a statement Sunday, saying he never thought he acted inappropriately.
“In my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, I have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort,” said Biden. “And not once – never – did I believe I acted inappropriately. If it is suggested I did so, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention.”
Warren is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination and has routinely polled well below Biden in hypothetical match-ups. Biden has yet to declare whether he intends to run for president or not, but is expected to decide soon.
