A man was arrested after he was allegedly caught destroying campaign signs that call for supporting a referendum that would allow a casino to be built at Arundel Mills mall. According to Campaign Manager Todd Lamb, more than 700 “Vote for Question A” signs have been vandalized at the Severna Park headquarters of Jobs & Revenue for Anne Arundel County by someone taking box cutters and chainsaws to the wooden-framed signs, “as well as completely removing smaller yard signs and dumping them in piles around the county.” The casino, which is proposed by Baltimore developer David Cordish, is opposed by residents near the mall and the Maryland Jockey Club, which operates nearby Laurel Park race track and hopes to get Cordish’s slots license. — Liz Farmer
