Big Don and Little Marco? Trump says ‘maybe’

Donald Trump on Wednesday seemed to leave open the door to naming Marco Rubio as his running mate, despite the months of fighting between the two earlier in the race.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly asked the presumptive Republican nominee if he would consider asking Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, infamously dubbed Little Marco by Trump, to be his running mate.

“Vote for Big Don and Little Marco?” Fox News host Bill O’Reilly jokingly chided Trump after asking whether he’d consider Rubio. Trump famously called Marco “little Marco” during the race.

“Maybe,” the New York businessman responded.

The inclusion of a Florida politician in a national campaign could boost voter turnout in the Sunshine State come November.

Trump said he is considering a number of the former Republican presidential candidates as his running mate and for slots in his hypothetical Cabinet.

Recent dropouts Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich are also among Trump’s considerations.

Trump had good things to say about Kasich, and said the two used to talk regularly during intermissions at GOP debates.
