Police search for driver in fatal Woodlawn hit-and-run
Baltimore County police said Thursday they are searching for the driver responsible for a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash Monday at 8:32 p.m. The fatality occurred on Ingleside Avenue, south of Charles Street in the Woodlawn area. Police also are looking for the vehicle the man was driving.
Investigators say the victim, Anthony Banks, 52, was walking across Ingleside Avenue when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle traveling southbound on Ingleside.
Police say they believe the driver did not render any assistance or contact police, and left the scene. Banks was transported to St. Agnes Hospital, where he later died.
Crash investigators say they believe the vehicle involved is a maroon or burgundy Chevy Suburban, or other large-style SUV. The vehicle will probably have damage to the passenger-side headlight, fender and hood, police said.

Grill assault victim says suspect is daughter?s friend
The man who allegedly assaulted a woman with a barbecue grill in Annapolis has been identified, police said Thursday.
The 40-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, told police the man is a friend of her daughter?s and attacked her because of a fight between mother and daughter earlier that day.
The suspect, whose name has not been released because charges are pending, hit the woman over the head Wednesday with a grill and punched her in the back of the head before fleeing, according to an Annapolis police report.

County officers search for Parkville bank robber
Baltimore County police are searching for the person who robbed the Bank of America in the Parkville area Tuesday.
