Donald Trump surrogate and former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu admitted Friday that the GOP nominee’s campaign is trailing in the Granite State, and he urged supporters to increase their efforts to get people out and vote.

“There’s about 1,500 of you here, almost 2,000,” the former governor said at a Trump campaign event. “If every one of you added two more voters, two more voters to show up and vote for Trump, to vote for the Republican ticket … and so on, that’s 4,000 more votes. That makes a difference.”
“And if you’re really good and get four, you’ve picked up 8,000 votes as a group,” he added. “We need it. We’re not ahead in New Hampshire yet. We need your help. Be part of the solution.”
Clinton currently leads Trump in New Hampshire by five points, according to a RealClearPolitics polling average.
Of the last 34 general election surveys conducted in the Granite State, Clinton has won 33 of them. She and Trump are tied in one.
