An 11-year veteran of the Oklahoma City Fire Department was arrested after he allegedly attacked a woman and ran naked through a park.
Multiple people called 911 around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning, reporting that Clayton Evans, 36, was running naked down the street, according to KFOR 4.
When officers arrived, they said, Evans was tased after refusing their orders and had to be restrained by two deputies in order to be booked.
The woman he was with that morning told investigators he had been acting strangely before he attacked her. She said he called himself Jesus before dashing naked from his house and running down the road.
“She had tried to stop him. He got in a car with her and had assaulted her, punched her in the face,” said Emily Ward, public information specialist with the Edmond Police Department.
The woman Evans allegedly attacked was alright, but suffered injuries to her face.
Police said that Evans admitted to using drugs, but they haven’t disclosed which type.
He was booked on charges of domestic abuse assault, obstruction of an officer, and indecent exposure.
Oklahoma Fire Department Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson said there would be an internal investigation into Evans in the near future.
“Anytime that we have an employee that is brought up on charges of any kind of this nature, we’ll look at every piece of evidence that we can,” Fulkerson said.
