President Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen will be testifying again next week to lawmakers, he announced at the conclusion of his third day of hearings on Capitol Hill.
“I’m committed to telling the truth. I will be back on March 6 to finish up. There’s more to discuss,” Cohen told reporters Thursday after privately answering questions from the House Intelligence Committee.
House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said next week’s session with Cohen will once again be behind closed doors.
“We had a long day, but it wasn’t a long enough day,” Schiff said. “I think we all feel it was a very productive interview today, where he was able to shed light on a lot of issues that are very core to our investigation. We were able to drill down in great detail.”
Schiff continued, “He was fully cooperative and answered all of our questions. … We’re very grateful that he was as forthcoming as he was.”
Cohen testified during a lengthy hearing Wednesday to the House Oversight Committee, calling Trump a “racist,” “conman,” and “cheat.”
He also spoke with the Senate Intelligence Committee Tuesday in a private setting.
Schiff also announced that Felix Sater will testify publicly before the House Intelligence Committee on March 14 about the proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow.
Cohen pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about negotiations for the project during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Cohen said Wednesday that Sater, a Trump business associate, suggested Trump give a penthouse to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a marketing ploy for the Trump Tower deal.
