Fox News host Shepard Smith criticized President Trump over the Ukraine controversy, while defending former Vice President Joe Biden.
“There is no known evidence that Joe Biden did anything wrong. The whole thing involved corruption in Ukraine. A corrupt prosecutor, who much of the world was pressuring the Ukraine to remove. Earlier this year the Ukrainian officials said there was no evidence of any wrongdoing by Joe Biden or his son, Hunter,” Smith said.
“The real issue here is a phone call. The claim that the president pressured a foreign leader to investigate a political rival and the failure to pass the whistleblower complaint to Congress,” Smith said Monday on his show.
Smith’s criticism of Trump comes as a whistleblower from the intelligence community filed a complaint about a phone call Trump made with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Trump said Monday more information about the phone call would be forthcoming. The president’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, also said that he had damaging information on Biden that he would be releasing.
