Lisa Marie Presley hospitalized: Daughter of Elvis suffers apparent cardiac arrest


Singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital Thursday after going into cardiac arrest, according to reports.

The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley was given CPR prior to being rushed to Westros Hospital.

A spokesman for the LA County Sheriff’s Department said the fire department responded to a call for “a female in her 50s that suffered a cardiac arrest.”

First responders were able to get a pulse before taking her for further treatment.

According to TMZ, Lisa Marie Presley is listed in critical condition and in a medically induced coma.

Lisa Marie Presley, 54, was most recently seen attending the Golden Globes on Tuesday night with her mother as actor Austin Butler won for portraying her father in the film Elvis.

In an interview prior to the awards show, Lisa Marie Presley needed to hold on to her manager and date for the evening, Jerry Schilling.

“I’m gonna grab your arm,” she is heard saying to Schilling.

Thursday night, Lisa Marie Presley’s mother, Priscilla Presley, posted a photo of her and her daughter along with a statement on Instagram.

“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time,” Priscilla Presley wrote.
