The first manned space launch from U.S. soil in almost a decade has been delayed because of inclement weather.
SpaceX and NASA will now try sending two astronauts into space from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Saturday, depending on weather conditions.
The launch, when it happens, will be the first manned spacecraft to take off from U.S. soil since the American space shuttle program was shuttered in 2011.
Astronauts Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken are set to pilot the mission, which is being flown on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule and will dock at the International Space Station. President Trump and family had traveled to Cape Canaveral to witness the launch.
