Protesters calling for an independent investigation into President Trump’s ties to Russia gathered in major cities across the U.S. on Saturday.
The “March For Truth” involved events in cities such as Washington, D.C., New York and Chicago to protest what it calls a lack of transparency surrounding probes into Russia’s alleged involvement in the 2016 election.

Events also featured several lawmakers chiding the administration.
“We will continue to demand accountability and transparency,” said Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., at the New York City rally.
The rallies, which organizers said would take place in more than 150 locations Saturday, comes before fired FBI director James Comey testifies before the Senate Intelligence Committee next week.

A federal probe, now led by former FBI Director Robert Mueller, is investigating Russian interference into the 2016 election, alongside probes in the House and Senate.

Organizers said that the marches were expected to take place in 150-plus locations.
Meanwhile, a small group of supporters of Trump held a “Pittsburgh not Paris” rally in front of the White House to support the president and his decision Thursday to pull out of the Paris climate accord.

The namesake of the rally was uttered by Trump during his announcement, when he said he was “elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.”
The protest was engineered at the last minute by the Fairfax Republican Party and the Republican Party of Virginia, which estimated they got a couple hundred supporters near the White House, according to Buzzfeed News.
