MOSCOW (AP) — A court in Azerbaijan has convicted and sentenced 10 people for breaching public order following a violent protest against a ban on wearing headscarves in school.
The Nariman District Court in the capital of Baku handed out prison terms Monday that ranged from 18 months to two years in this mainly Muslim ex-Soviet nation.
