Michelle Obama is urging Washingtonians to stay home in a new public service announcement for the District of Columbia.
The former first lady, who resides a couple miles from the White House with her family, will appear in robocalls and radio ads.
Mayor Muriel Bowser announced the initiative on Monday, saying Obama’s office reached out to ask how she could help.
“Hi, this is Michelle Obama. On behalf of Mayor Bowser, I wanted to share information on free coronavirus testing for District of Columbia residents experiencing symptoms,” Obama said in the announcement.
“Remember, we urge you to stay home except if you need essential healthcare, essential food or supplies, or to go to your essential job,” she added later in the video.
