Multiple people were struck by lightning on Saturday at the PGA Tour Championship outside of Atlanta.
According to reports, the lightning struck near the practice range at East Lake Golf Club at about 5 p.m. after play had been suspended nearly 45 minutes prior due to thunderstorms. Players were removed from the course at that time, and fans were asked to seek shelter.
Footage from a bystander shows the moment the lightning struck a spot on the range where several attendees were gathered. The lightning appeared to strike a tree just off the 16th tee, causing it to shatter.

Have a friend who’s brother was 1 of 6 people injured by lightening strike at East Lake. He was sitting in a cart “3 feet from strike….thought a bomb went off.”
Force threw him out of cart..
He’s fine… headed to hospital as a precautionary measure ??
Please pray for others

Ambulances took six people from the golf course. While it was not immediately clear how serious their injuries were, a tournament official said they all seemed alert, conscious, and breathing.
The PGA Tour canceled the remaining rounds of golf Saturday and is set to continue at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
