Read the latest issue of TWS! Matt Labash’s cover story on the Antifa in Berkeley is going viral and for good reason, it’s a must read. David Rutz at the Free Beacon says: “You’ll never regret taking the time to read Matt Labash.” Truer words have never been spoken. But don’t stop at Labash, the issue contains multitudes of goodness: Andy Ferguson on E.B. White, Vic Matus on the death of traditional grocing, and much, much more. Here’s the link to the whole issue.
Great professor, or greatest professor? A viral video (warning: language) has been found to be a hoax, which is not a surprise given all the hoaxes on the Internet these days. But, if there’s such a thing as a good hoax, this is it. Syracuse University college professor Bill Coplin stages a prank on new students on the first day of class to loosen up the discussion, and has been doing so for years. This year he had a student actor stage a rant of his threat to cut up her “fake” ID:
“Hacked” Trump admin official resigns. That didn’t last long. William C. Bradford, whom we discussed in this space earlier in the week, has resigned. He told CNN’s KFile team: “I resigned because I reached the conclusion over the previous four months that the best way to serve the President, the USA, and Indian Country would be from a position beyond the constraints I experienced. I look forward to helping make America great again in another role.” Weird! No mention of the hacking (but a nod to Steve Bannon’s “I think I can be more effective fighting from the outside”)! Perhaps media pressure, and an inquiry by Oregon senator Ron Wyden to the FBI and Energy Department was too much to bear. Free advice to Bradford: Hacked or not, you should probably stay off Twitter and the comments sections.
Babylon Bee trolls Snopes. The Babylon Bee, the Christian parody site, following a fact check from Snopes, decided to have a bit of fun with it: “Snopes Rates Babylon Bee World’s Most Accurate News Source.” As a Catholic, I often have a hard time finding the humor of the Bee, which tends to skew towards the Protestants, but I give them a tip of the cap for some wholesome trolling. Well done.
