The District is investing more in the future of electric cars.
After opening one charging station for electric cars last month at 14th and U streets Northwest, the District Department of Transportation’s Gabe Klein said Friday in an online chat that the city plans to roll out 20 more in January.
Such public curbside stations are part of Coulomb ChargePoint’s $37 million program, funded in part by a $15 million grant from the federal stimulus package.
Meanwhile, DDOT says it ishelping businesses apply for federal grants to install private ones in parking garages.
