Rep. Adam Schiff on Tuesday mocked President Trump’s search for a new chief of staff by saying the candidate must be ready for “backbiting” and “dishonesty” in an “impossible work environment.”
“Help wanted: White House Chief of Staff. No experience necessary. Must respond well to infighting, backbiting, dishonesty and dishonor,” Schiff, D-Calif., tweeted Tuesday. “Excited by the prospect of an impossible work environment? Enjoy humiliation? Apply now! *Background check … negotiable.”

Trump announced Saturday that chief of staff John Kelly would be departing the White House at the end of the year. Trump’s first choice to replace Kelly, the vice president’s chief of staff Nick Ayers, turned down the position and is expected to join the pro-Trump Super PAC America First Action.
Other potential candidates include Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and former Trump 2016 deputy campaign manager David Bossie. Trump has rejected reports suggesting there were a lack of candidates interested in the position.
“Fake News has it purposely wrong. Many, over ten, are vying for and wanting the White House Chief of Staff position. Why wouldn’t someone want one of the truly great and meaningful jobs in Washington. Please report news correctly. Thank you!” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
