Paul Manafort has moved to Pennsylvania.
The former Trump campaign chairman is now imprisoned at the U.S. Penitentiary Canaan in Waymart, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The federal prison, described as “a high security U.S. penitentiary with an adjacent minimum security satellite camp,” houses almost 1,400 male inmates between the two sites.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not immediately return a request for comment.
Manafort was originally booked into Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw, Va., in June after a judge revoked his bail amid allegations of witness tampering. He was moved to a jail in Alexandria, Va., in July as he awaited his trials in Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Manafort was convicted of eight financial crimes in Virginia, including bank fraud, tax fraud, and failure to disclose a foreign bank account. In the Washington case, he was accused of illegally lobbying on behalf of Ukrainian interests.
Manafort accepted a plea deal, admitting to one count of conspiracy against the U.S. and one count of obstructing justice. However, prosecutors said Manafort lied to investigators after he agreed to cooperate in the case, and thus, they did not have to recommend a reduced sentence.
Manafort was sentenced to nearly a combined eight years in prison for both cases.
