For several weeks, Barack Obama has decried the many “distractions” that have hounded him. This week, Hillary Clinton must be thankful for the distraction of Rev. Wright, since nobody paid much attention to Tom Hayden’s scorned-lover piece in the Nation. Clearly drunk on the Obama-spiked Kool Aid, the Chicago 8 Emeritus pines for the Hillary of yore:

Regarding Candidate Clinton’s condemnation of Rev. Wright, Hayden believes that she’s betrayed the “honorable words and associations” of her younger days, i.e. working for communists, defending cop-shooting radicals, and attempting to deny a president legal counsel during impeachment hearings. It’s an interesting perspective on honor and what makes a good candidate.
