Police officers in Paris shot and killed a man who was apparently trying to attack a police station on the one-year anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attack.
Reports from Paris said witnesses saw the man running toward the police station and firing at it. French officials said the man yelled “Allahu Akbar!” before he was shot and killed, according to the BBC.
Police robots were examining the body, and were worried the man was wearing a suicide vest or other explosives. Later reports said he was wearing a fake explosives vest.
The event happened just moments after French President Francois Hollande praised police in a speech marking the Hebdo attacks, which left 17 people dead a year ago.
