Program gives Access to students

Project Access of Howard Community College will host a program aimed at helping high-schoolers with disabilities transition to postsecondary education.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 8 at the college?s Charles I. Ecker Business Training Center, according to a news release.

Workshop participants will hear presentations by Dr. Suzanne Miller Friedman, assistant director of mental health counseling at the college; and Pam Blackwell, director of student services, and Steve Drummond, coordinator of school security, both for the Howard County Public School System.

The cost of the workshop, which includes brunch, is $35 until Nov. 1, and $40 after. Click here for more information online.
