Disney, meet the First Sale Doctrine. Mickey, Inc. isn’t happy with Red Box, a purveyor of point-of-sale DVD anf Bluray rentals. Why? You know those digital download codes you get when you buy a movie on disc? Red Box, ingeniously, is selling them and Disney is suing. After all, what do they need with 25,000 digital downloads of Frozen? Red Box seems confident in its actions, per the First Sale Doctrine.
Opportunists gonna opportunist. You may have seen Ethan Epstein’s item today on Ted Cruz’s absolutely awful interview with Neil Cavuto. Becket Adams over at the Examiner also agrees about Cruz’s awful interview being awful, but also observes that (potential 2020 Democratic candidate) Kirsten Gillibrand is also being as calculating and hypocritical as Cruz is. When 20,000 American Nazis Descended Upon New York City. There’s been lots of talk about the NYTimes story about the Ohio Nazi. Last month The Atlantic released this horrifying video showing 20,000 American Nazis at a 1939 rally in New York City.“The footage is so powerful,” continued [documentary film maker Marshall] Curry, “it seems amazing that it isn’t a stock part of every high school history class. This story was likely nudged out of the canon, in part because it’s scary and embarrassing. It tells a story about our country that we’d prefer to forget.”
Let’s not forget that so many of our countrymen sided with such evil.
