Former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein turned himself in Friday after multiple accusations of sexual assault, including rape, emerged over the last year and sparked the #MeToo movement.
Weinstein, who was carrying a bundle of books, turned himself into New York police Friday morning.

It is expected that Weinstein will cooperate with investigators, and at a minimum he will face charges Friday that stem from Lucia Evans’ claims that he coerced her to perform oral sex on him 15 years ago.
New York City prosecutors in Manhattan are also looking into accusations of rape made against Weinstein by actress Paz de la Huerta.
Last fall, the New York Times reported on multiple settlements that Weinstein reached with women over a span of decades, leading to a snowball of accusations of sexual misconduct, assault, and rape.
