‘Don’t make faces’: Kamala Harris ripped for ‘smirking’ at Pence during debate

Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris could be seen smirking, smiling, and laughing during Vice President Mike Pence’s answers during the vice presidential debate.

“Take it like a woman. Don’t make faces,” journalist Megyn Kelly said on Twitter.

As Pence questioned her support for the Green New Deal and Joe Biden’s plan to repeal the Trump tax cuts, Harris seemed agitated with the vice president’s answers.

“Kamala Harris is like a smirking robot with a dozen pre-programmed origin stories and rehearsed insults,” said Republican committee member Harmeet Dhillon.

“They should have told Harris in debate prep that she’d be on camera during Pence’s answers and smirking is never a good look,” noted National Review editor Rich Lowry.

Others struck a more positive tone about the smirking.

“Every woman I know has given this look when some man attempts to mansplain or present an idea that isn’t theirs,” said social justice activist Jamira Burley.

The tone and tenor of this election cycle’s debates have been a hot topic following the fiery debate between President Trump and Biden last week.

“Clearly, this was the most chaotic presidential debate I have ever seen,” CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer said immediately following the first presidential debate. “I suspect most of you, if not all, have ever seen. Most chaotic presidential debate. It will certainly raise a lot of questions, raising a lot of questions about the future of the presidential debate between these two candidates. I wouldn’t be surprised, by the way, if this is the last presidential debate between the president of the United States and the former vice president of the United States.”
