House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to explain to all House lawmakers how President Trump decided to fire of FBI Director James Comey.
“I hope that you will insist that Rosenstein brief and answer questions from the full House,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan. “I hope you will also insist that Director Comey be accountable to the House as well as the Senate in his presentation.”
Rosenstein is scheduled to brief the Senate on Thursday in response to a request from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., asked McConnell to arrange the meeting.
Pelosi wrote to Ryan that the House should also have an opportunity to question Rosenstein, who wrote a memo critical of Comey prior to his ouster.
