Meghan McCain is leaving Fox News, where she has been a contributor and host since 2015.
“I’m leaving to focus on other things,” she tweeted Friday morning. She has hosted the network’s show “Outnumbered” since November.
“Meghan has been a valuable part of ‘Outnumbered’ and the Fox News team,” the network said in a statement to Variety. “We’re sad to see her go, but we wish her all the best.”
Before joining Fox she was a host of “TakePart Live,” a talk show on Pivot.
Her father, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was diagnosed with brain cancer in July. She has been spending time with him in Arizona since his diagnosis. He returned to the Senate in early September.
