At least a dozen detectives took to the streets Monday in an effort to garner leads in the homicide of a 72-year-old Springfield woman, Fairfax County police say.
Authorities have no suspects in the baffling death of Marion Barbara Marshall, who was found dead in her Bostwick Drive home the evening of Aug. 14. An autopsy showed that she died of trauma, or an injury from a physical attack, though police have refused to elaborate on the cause of death.
Detectives went door-to-door in the area of the Bradlick Shopping Center, where Marshall was last seen around midday, police spokesman Rich Perez said.
