RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Dominion Virginia Power is warning customers about a nationwide scam involving an offer to pay their utility bills through a federal program.
The Richmond-based energy provider said that according to the Better Business Bureau there’s no federal program to pay household bills. And Dominion said that giving personal information such as a Social Security number could lead to identity theft.
