Trump warns of ‘revolt’ if Cruz or ‘slob’ Kasich nominated instead

Donald Trump warned the Republican Party Monday that a potential “revolt” may take place if either Sen. Ted Cruz or Ohio Gov. John Kasich were to some how take home the Republican nomination after July’s convention.

During a rally in West Chester, Pa., Trump wondered how delegates could support someone who “got creamed” for over a year in the nominating process, adding that the millions of voters that have supported him would not do so for either Cruz or Kasich in a general election.

“How do you vote for a guy who has lost by four or five million votes, who is hundreds and hundreds of delegates down, who has lost … 40 states, 32 states, 35 — and they’ll have like 13, 14, and now we’re going to pick the guy?” Trump asked. “So we’re going to pick a guy that over a year got creamed.”

“So you explain how that’s done. You would have a revolt,” Trump said. “You would have, at a minimum, all these millions of people that have joined the Republican Party, which makes it so hot.”

Throughout the event, Trump also lambasted Kasich, calling him “stubborn” for not getting out of the race and mocking him for his eating habits while out on the campaign trail, most recently on display in Philadelphia earlier on Monday.

“This is just a guy who is a stubborn guy who eats like a slob and shouldn’t have press conferences while he’s stuffing stuff down his throat,” Trump said early on in the event. “He just says, ‘I’m staying!'”

“What the hell are you doing running for president?” Trump also asked later on when bringing up Kasich’s association with Lehman Brothers.
