ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — A bus has fatally hit a woman in northern Virginia.
Fairfax County police say 41-year-old Lorena Gimenez of Alexandria was hit late Thursday night in the parking lot of the Huntington Metro station, about 8 miles south of Alexandria. The woman died at the scene.
It’s unclear whether any passengers were on the Fairfax Connector bus at the time of the collision.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Police say there’s no indication that speed or alcohol played roles.
