Major renovations for five “obsolete” Baltimore County bridges could begin as early as next year, public works officials announced Thursday.
Repairs for the Thornton Mill Road, Eagle Mill Road, Harris Mill Road, Painters Mill Road and Mohr?s Lane bridges are
in the works, officials said. All of the bridges have limits on their weight loads and have been rated by the State Highway Administration as “structurally or functionally obsolete.”
The federal government will fund about 80 percent of the repairs.
Construction could begin in 2008, depending on the acquisition of rights-of-way and environmental permits.
