Jenner rips Newsom and Gascon for ‘soft on crime’ California

Caitlyn Jenner ripped into California’s Democratic leaders Sunday, slamming Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon for their “soft on crime” policies.

The 72-year-old Olympic gold medalist and former gubernatorial candidate went after the pair in a Twitter rant following a Malibu robbery that saw criminals steal more than $500,000 in luxury goods.

The incident occurred July 12 at the Malibu Lumber Yard shopping center shortly after 2 p.m., according to a report.

“I was here shopping several days ago. Our neighborhoods are being destroyed. These burglars got away with $500,000.00 + in merch!” Jenner tweeted.

“What will it take for our elected officials to stand up? This is Gavin Newsom’s California!” she added.

Jenner also took aim at Gascon, saying the “time has come to kick out the corrupt DA’s! I am glad to see the people are finally beginning to stand up!”
