Man charged in triple-fatal hit-and-run

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — The man authorities say was responsible for Tampa Bay area hit-and-run crash that killed three women has turned himself in.

Authorities say 27-year-old Marquice Lamonz Anderson surrendered Monday morning after being identified as the driver Friday evening. He faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide.

St. Petersburg police say Anderson was driving a rented Chrysler 200 the wrong way down a street early Thursday morning when he crashed into a Saturn with three female occupants.

Officials say two of the women — 23-year-old Briana Lequinda Campbell and 21-year-old Jamesia Chera Santoria Lang — died at the scene. The Saturn’s driver, 25-year-old Grace Lashawn Collier, was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where she died Friday.

Authorities say Anderson’s girlfriend reported the Chrysler stolen after the crash at Anderson’s request. She faces an accessory charge.
