Palin on another VP nomination: ‘I would be a burden’

Forme r vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said she would be a “burden” on the Republican presidential ticket if presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump picked her as his running mate.

” I want to help and not hurt, and I am such a realist that I realize there are a whole lot of people out there who would say ‘anybody but Palin,’ ” the former Alaska governor told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

“I don’t want to be a burden on the ticket, and I realize in many eyes, I would be a burden,” Palin added. “I just want the guy to win, and I don’t know if I would be the person to help him win.”

Palin ran alongside Arizona Sen. John McCain in 2008, drawing mockery for lack of policy chops, but support from many conservatives. She said Sunday that the Trump campaign wouldn’t have to worry about vetting her if the billionaire is considering her as a running mate.

“I’m pretty much as vetted as anybody in the country could be vetted already ,” she said.
