The front page of Tuesday’s print edition of the New York Times identified Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh as a “former Bush aide.”
“Former Bush aide is Trump pick for court,” the headline said in all capital letters over its news article on President Trump’s nomination ceremony from the previous night.
Kavanaugh did work in former president George W. Bush’s White House, but he has served as a federal judge for more than a decade.

During his time in the Bush administration, he served as counsel to the president and then White House staff secretary. He was nominated by Bush to the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2003 and ultimately confirmed by the Senate in 2006.
