This lawmaker feuding with Trump is a ‘Jeopardy’ answer

The civil rights icon feuding with President-elect Donald Trump was coincidentally an answer on a “Jeopardy” episode that aired on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“This hero of civil rights marches was first elected to represent Georgia’s 5th Congressional District in 1986,” host Alex Trebek asked contestants.

The answer was Rep. John Lewis.

According to Twitter users, none of the contestants knew the answer. Though episodes are usually filmed weeks in advance.

On Friday, the Democratic lawmaker said he doesn’t see Trump as a “legitimate” president after Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.

Trump fired back on Twitter, writing that Lewis should “spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested).”

“Congressman John Lewis should finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities of the U.S. I can use all the help I can get!” Trump added.

Lewis, who was beaten by police in Selma, Alabama, while marching for civil rights in 1965, said he plans to skip Trump’s inauguration.
