Don?t call it a comeback. Call it round two.
The owners of Baltimore advertising and marketing firm Round 2 Communications are ready to surprise people with the changes they made the last couple of years.
“We went dark for a couple of years while we were expanding,” said Round 2 principal Matt Goddard, adding that the firm is ready to step back into the limelight.
The firm has grown quite a bit in the last 10 years. Founded by Goddard and David Taub, Round 2 has grown to include 35 employees in two divisions and over 100 active clients all over the country.
“We have a communications group that focuses on branding, marketing, communications strategy and Web site design,” Goddard said. “We also have a technology group that develops software solutions and products for customer acquisition, retention and support on the Internet.”
The company has been doing Web content work for bge.com for the last four years. “They are both left- and right-brain thinkers, which is hard to come by,” said Barry K. Hedden, marketing specialist for bge.com. “Some companies tend to skew towards the technical aspect or the graphics aspect and [Round 2] has a nice balance of both.”
“We believe our future is going to be based on continued evolution of electronic communication as a marketing and advertising vehicle,” Goddard said. “Social networking solutions will continue to grow, videowill become more of a factor, the delivery of communications on all sorts of devices will continue. Our goal is to make sure we are an expert in all of those new and innovative things.”
